No Gain Without Pain...Fashola tells Lagosians

Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos state has urged Lagosians to endure the hardships and inconveniences currently being experienced as a result of the recent ban on Okada (motorcycles) in some parts of the state.

He said the problems were characteristic of all life-changing laws and policies of the government, which would have long-term benefits.

He further stated thus: “Okada will not be our transportation model in this state. Other states have banned it and heaven did not fall in those states. Our state will not be a dumping ground for motorcycles. But instead of banning it in Lagos, what the government has done was to restrict their operations on 475 roads out of 9,000 roads.”

*My dear Lagosians, how do you feel about the development?  How has it affected you? Do you agree that there will be long-term benefits? Feel free to air your thoughts*
